Corey Steinberg is from Toronto. He obtained
his Master of Arts in Philosophy of Law from
Carleton University in 1996, and Bachelor of Laws from Queen’s University
in 2000.
Corey was a Research Assistant at UBC Law School where he
helped create Canada’s first
law school course on Internet law. In 2001 The Domain Name
Law Reports published
Corey’s article on online intellectual property infringement,
"WeStealYourIntellectualProperty.com", originally
presented to the Ad Idem Millennium National Media Law Seminar
in Montreal in November 2000. He also authored a presentation
on intellectual property presented to the Canadian Association
of Family Enterprises in 2001, and was founder and administrator
for the Internet law resource elegalcanada.com (offline).
Corey is a litigator called to the British Columbia Bar
in 2001 and the Ontario Bar in 2006. He practiced in
Vancouver and Whistler, before joining Steinberg Morton Hope & Israel
LLP in October 2006. Corey has appeared at all levels
of court in BC, as well as Ontario Superior Court and the
Ontario Court of Appeal.
Corey is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, Law Society
of BC, Canadian Bar Association, Vancouver Bar Association,
and Trial Lawyers Association of BC. |
