What about charitable bequests?
by David M. Israel
Although most people prefer to leave their estates to their
relatives and friends, the testator may decide to give some
or even all of their property to a charitable institution
such as a registered charity, a church or a synagogue. This
is often the case where there are no children or close relatives
remaining to the testator and the estate is therefore given
to one or more charitable institutions.
